Gorilla ECS uses a specially designed pressure washing system which incorporates up to 4500 PSI and hot water over 200 degrees to deep clean the Travertine prior to sealing.

Step 1: Cleaning of the Travertine

Once the Travertine have been completely cleaned sand is both dry swept and wet sanded into the expansion joints (cracks) to help stabilize the Travertine.

Step 2: Sanding expansion joints

Gorilla applies two coats of SEAL‘n LOCK premium sealer (Wet). During this process screen enclosure rails and drain covers are hand cleaned to protect from any overspray during the sealing process. A third coat of sealer is available at an additional cost to enhance the level of protection in high traffic areas such as hotel entrances or community projects.

Step 3: Sealing

If you have exposed Travertine tile in Florida you may want to consider having it sealed just like pavers. Many people do not realize that Travertine is susceptible to the same fading, staining, wear and weather issues that pavers are. Sealing helps protect your significant financial investment in your beautiful Travertine tile. In addition sealing your Travertine tile with SEAL‘nLock drastically enhances it’s color and brilliance. Although the basic process is similar to paver sealing, specific experience and expertise is required to successfully seal the more delicate travertine tiles. Further correcting mistakes is extremely costly and sometimes impossible due to tile matching issues.
